Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4 pieces, 6-8 oz each)
  • Honey (1/4 cup, 60 ml)
  • Sriracha sauce (3 Tbsp, 45 ml)
  • Soy sauce (2 Tbsp, 30 ml)
  • Minced garlic (1 tsp)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (1 tsp)
  • Olive oil (1 tsp, for brushing)

Method

  1. Prep chicken by trimming excess fat and lightly brushing both sides with olive oil.
  2. In a bowl, whisk honey, sriracha, soy sauce, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
  3. Marinate chicken in 1/2 the glaze for 10 minutes (or up to 30 minutes for deeper flavor).
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5-7 minutes per side, basting with remaining glaze during the last 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds before serving and let rest 5 minutes.

Notes

For richer flavor, swap chicken breasts for bone-in thighs (adjust cook time to 7-9 minutes per side)
Substitute maple syrup or agave nectar for honey
Use tamari instead of soy sauce for gluten-free version
Marinate longer (up to overnight) for more intense flavor
Grill indoors on a stovetop grill pan if outdoor equipment unavailable
